Packaging is a logistics decision too

The choice between bulk and bottled oil affects handling, storage, shipment configuration and the buyer’s next steps. Describe the receiving site, intended use and constraints before asking for a particular presentation. Packaging options and their availability are assessed for each project.

Request clear information about the proposed food-contact packaging, closure, case or pallet configuration and lot identification. Consider how the goods will be inspected, unloaded and stored after arrival. A format that looks suitable on paper must also fit the receiving operation.

Agree the commercial delivery basis

State a country and city or port, rather than a region alone. The quotation should make clear which party is responsible for freight, insurance, customs clearance, duties and onward transport. If an Incoterm is used, confirm the named place and agreed version.

Transit schedules, handling conditions and documentation depend on the route and the parties involved. Do not interpret a target dispatch date as a guaranteed arrival. Confirm the agreed milestones and any dependencies in the commercial documents.

Prepare the shipment file with the importer

The documents to examine can include a commercial invoice, packing list, transport document, origin information and product documentation. The final requirements depend on the product, destination and transaction. Your importer or broker should confirm the applicable list before shipment.

Send Tunisian Olive the oil category, quantity, presentation preference, destination and required documents. Supply availability, packaging, timing, samples and price are confirmed by quotation. Our market pages and import guide help organise the questions without implying prior shipments or a universal clearance procedure.
